Automated test equipment (ATE) is any apparatus that performs test on a device, using automation to quickly perform measurements and analyse the results. Engineers with these skills are found across a host of industries with the most common including electronics manufacture, automotive and avionics. Individuals will be experts in developing and/or running test equipment and rigs using National Instrument toolset including LabVIEW, Teststand and Labwindows.
