Registration
Registration is important to enable you to make full use of this website. You need only to provide an email address and your name to allow you to register. This is the first stage of basic registration and allows you basic user rights. Further registration is optional, but provides access to more of the features below.
View & Amend Your Details — Your Personal Homepage
A fundamental component of this website is the ability to create your own Personal Homepage. This is an overview of the key information you have provided to Matchtech, as well summarising the main functions of the site you have chosen to use. Through your Personal Homepage you will be able to keep your CV updated and track the progress of any job applications you have made.
Searching for jobs
You can either go to the industry sectors most relevant to your work experience and view the most recent jobs posted (they are displayed in list form with the most recent at the top) or you can use the site's powerful search to locate those jobs which match your key skills.
Apply for jobs
As soon as you have registered and uploaded your CV, you can apply for jobs online. You need to select the required job and then click 'View & Apply' to see the full job details (as only summaries are displayed). When you have read the details specification, you can then click 'Apply for this job'.
Receive email and SMS Job Alerts
Once registered, you have the ability to receive instant or regularly scheduled notifications by email or SMS of any new jobs that match your own personally defined parameters. This is an exceptionally efficient way of using the site. When any newly posted jobs are sent to you, each job will include a direct link to the job details on the website. One major benefit is that you can define the frequency of the alerts yourself.
RSS Job Feeds
Matchtech have created RSS Job Feeds of the jobs in each of our Industry Sectors to deliver you more information than traditional job alerts. You can use RSS reading software to have jobs and updates sent directly to your desktop. Once you have created a search for your job you can leave this running and new jobs will be sent to your C.V. in new real time, i.e. almost as quickly as they appear on our site.
Saved Searches
Your personalised vacancy searches can be saved for later to avoid you having to enter the details every time you log in or look at another search. When you return to the site you can run these saved searches with a single click and switch between different saved searches easily.
