Changan Automobile is in the top 15 global vehicle manufactures and top 4 in China. Changan currently produce 2 million vehicles per year under its own brand which presents a sales income over 10 Billion GBP. Changan also have joint venture projects with Ford, Mazda, Suzuki and PSA.

Changan UK R&D Centre Limited (CAUK) is a UK company set up by Changan Automobile in June 2010 and has already grown to 50 employees within this short expansion period. CAUK is dedicated to powertrain design and development for Changan's next generation vehicles. CAUK is currently based in Nottingham and have ambitions to expand the UK operation to additional sites. With major engine and transmission projects ongoing and planned, it is expected that more than 200 jobs will be created in CAUK in next 3 years.
