Matchtech wins major water industry contract

Matchtech Group has won a major nine month contract to act as Managed Agent for one of the UK’s leading water and sewage companies, Severn Trent Water. Severn Trent Water employs 5,099 people throughout the UK. The contract will cover both contract and permanent staff for the company, who supply nearly two billion litres of drinking water to over three million households and businesses. Matchtech will provide engineers to cover civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineers for both design and on-site positions. The contract is estimated to be worth £2.5 million in turnover a year.

Severn Trent Water maintains over 46,000 kilometres of water pipes and 54,000 kilometres of sewers, as well as running more than 1000 sewage treatment works. Matchtech’s experience in technical recruitment enables them to provide Severn Trent Water with a single point of contact for the recruiting of engineers. Positions can be filled quickly and the headaches of dealing with multiple contractors eliminated, with one invoice replacing a barrage of paper work.
