Matchtech Awarded Health & Safety Certification
Matchtech Group Plc are pleased to announce that they have been awarded the Health & Safety certification, OHSAS 18001–1999 (Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Standard), which monitors and provides a complete health and safety control in the workplace. This is in addition to their existing Quality Management System, ISO 9001:2000 which was awarded in July 2003.
Certification to OHSAS 18001-1999 was granted on the 26th October 2004. This certification enables the company to monitor and control health and safety issues in the workplace through a comprehensive system that includes the implementation of planning and checking, together with regular management reviews to allow continual improvements.
Through the award of OHSAS 18001-1999 Matchtech continues to show its commitment to the safety and environment of its employees. By achieving this certification Matchtech ensures proper and adequate control of health and safety risks, whilst working to regulated working practices.
The introduction of OHHAS 18001-1999 system works with the existing Management System ISO 9001:2000, thus creating an integrated and effective series of systems that demonstrate Matchtech’s continued commitment to the quality and safety of its service.
