Matchtech Group Invest in Staff Training & Career Development

Matchtech Group PLC, the largest single site recruitment agency in the UK, has strengthened its ongoing commitment to staff training and development, by appointing one of its senior managers, David Rees, to the position of HR & Training Director. This new role combines HR, Training, and Recruitment into one department within Matchtech.
David Rees takes up his new position following 17 successful years at Matchtech. Having joined as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant in 1991 after 3 years post-graduate experience in Retail Management, David progressed at Matchtech through various management positions in the Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Food and Water sectors. Now working closely with the Group Resources Director, Paul Raine, his experiences with staff development, motivation and a culture of professionalism are seen as key to the growth of Matchtech's business, and the career development of the company's staff.
At the same time, the development and improvement of comprehensive training at Matchtech is being furthered by the appointment of Jake Jessey, another of the company's most experienced managers, to the new role of Training Manager.
Jake Jessey has had twelve year's experience in the Built Environment sector at Matchtech. His experience in the use and development of the in house recruitment software will be invaluable to his new role.
Matchtech Group has grown dramatically over the past few years and now has 320 employees at its office in Whiteley. As one of the South's leading companies, it is continuing to expand and has current vacancies for both trainee and experienced Recruitment Consultants.
Paul Raine, Group Resource Director said of the company's new initiative: "Our decision to invest heavily in additional training will once again make Matchtech stand out as a leading employer. We are demonstrating our commitment to high quality staff training, but most importantly we are concentrating on developing skills and abilities which leads to greater career fulfilment."
