Matchtech Charity Update…..Moonwalk Success!

A massive congratulations to Natalie Allen and Jo Hinks on completing the "Walk the Walk" Moonwalk in aid of breast cancer.
Proudly sporting their spangly bras the girls joined 17,000 other walkers (including lingerie wearing gents) and took to the streets of London at 11.45pm to embark upon their 26.2 mile walk.
Naturally, such a large crowd of scantily individuals attracted considerable attention from the passers by and as the night wore on the moonwalkers received lots of jovial cheer.
The girls had a fabulous – if a bit chilly – night and crossed the finish line at 9am.Speaking of the night, Jo adds
"I never thought I’d have a sporting medal with the word ‘marathon’ on it. I still can’t quite believe that we’ve done it, but the knowledge that so many people had sponsored us spurred me on when the going got really tough. That, and the thought of the MacDonald’s breakfast we’d promised ourselves when we finished!"
Following the success of the Moonwalk Jo and Natalie have been encouraged to make further steps in completing charity work. As well as organising another bake sale, both have pre-registered for next year’s Moonwalk and will undertake the ‘ribbon walk’ for Cancer Research in June. Jo has also entered next year’s Virgin London Marathon.
Well done ladies on your fantastic achievement.
