Matchtech Group plc achieves impressive growth
Matchtech Group plc, the technical recruitment specialist, has achieved impressive growth for the third consecutive year since becoming a plc in 2002. This year looks set to continue the trend.
The impressive growth has seen turnover reach £122m in the UK market alone as the company continues to prove itself, via organic growth, as a top quality recruitment business with a strong presence in its core industry sectors. One of those sectors is the offshore and subsea industry; Matchtech’s specialist division recruiting within this industry has seen a 22% increase in turnover in the last twelve months.
The offshore sector is witnessing greater worldwide activity in the exploration and production sectors, complemented by a wealth of North sea activity in the mature fields where production optimisation is the key. The activity will carry on for the foreseeable future; dialogue with clients and candidates illustrates that projects are being extended as more modification and upgrade work on rigs and subsea equipment is carried out. Combine this with new builds, FEED studies and design concepts and it is easy to see why the industry is extremely busy.
As a result Matchtech is witnessing a significant increase in the demand for skilled technical personnel on both a permanent and contract basis. Such an increase has lead to greater working relationships with clients in order to find solutions to the issues presented by such growth and expansion in such a buoyant industry. These relationships have enabled us to offer tailored services to our clients, including (but not limited to) managed service and preferred supplier solutions, account management, response handling and recruitment campaigns, in addition to our standard services relating to contract, temporary and permanent recruitment.
Such services saw our industry specific consultants place in excess of 6,000 highly skilled personnel across the engineering, construction, scientific, IT and strategic services (procurement & logistics, HR, sales & marketing) sectors last year.
