Help — Updating Your Online Profile

How to update your personal details and the effect those changes will have on our recruitment process.

Contact Details

Here you can tell us information about your address and telephone numbers. If you are in the UK, you can use the Find address by postcode to quickly fill your address information. The address information you enter here will also be used to pre-fill the Max. distance from UK city/postcode location when performing an Advanced Job Search. Please note:

• You cannot receive SMS Job Alerts until you enter a valid Mobile phone number.
• You cannot apply for any jobs online until you enter a valid Address.

Uploading Your CV

This page allows you to send us an up to date and fully formatted CV for us to examine and send to our clients. Please note:

1. All files will be virus checked and any macros will be removed.
2. Files must be less than 500Kb in size.
3. We only accept CV files of these types:
   • Microsoft ® Word '97 and 2000 (.doc files)
   • Rich Text Format (.rtf files)
   • Plain Text (.txt files)
4. Only the last CV you uploaded will be displayed here, but Matchtech can hold multiple files to allow you to target your CV to different industries and careers.
5. If you want to send us multiple CVs, please make sure the CV Description is relevant to its function — e.g. "Sales Targeted" or "Engineering role" etc.
6. If you would like to make a change to a CV you have previously submitted, please email us.

Note: You cannot apply for any jobs online until you upload a valid CV.

Personal & Account Details

This page allows you to amend some of the account details you entered during registration. It also allows you to provide us with information helpful to our clients.

Key information on this page is Date of birth, Professional title and your Education details. Click Save changes when you have finished.

Personal Skills Profile

This page allows you to make use of new technology we have developed to tell us about your skills and the level of your experience. Skills information is used by our consultants to better match your details with the those of a vacancy. Candidates with up to date skills profiles have an advantage when job-hunting through this site.

Note: We recommend you enter at least 5 skills to complete Advanced Registration.

New Job Preferences

This page is important as it allows you to tell us about the kind of job you are interested in. Details of your availability, pay and relocation preferences can be entered and kept up to date.

Pay Preferences are also used to pre-fill the Advanced Job Search criteria.
