Job description

Leading rail main contracting organisation seeks a proven Lead Quantity Surveyor to join their London based team on a contract basis.

This role will see you work on a major rail programme so candidates must have experience working for a main contractor in the rail industry. If you have experience of working on rail systems projects this would be an advantage but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide commercial support services to the Programme Commercial Manager and project team
• Handle client applications and change control
• Perform general contract administration tasks, including assessment and certification of payment for measured works
• Manage subcontract change control
• Ensure on-time payment and cash recovery from the client
• Administer client and subcontract final accounts
• Carry out CEMAR tasks and other commercial duties

Job Requirements:

• Prior experience working for main contractors in the rail industry
• Strong background in Quantity Surveying
