Data migration Specialist To lead, manage, and be responsible for the delivery of the functions and services delivered by the IT Applications team in the Public Sector, Our client is looking for a Data Migration Specialist on a contract basis. As a Data Migration Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth data migration process and maintaining data quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meeting with business (SMEs / Business Leads) and/or users to identify and define data migration needs.
• Formulating a data migration process aligned with the supplier's data migration process for the target system.
• Creating a data migration plan/schedule aligned with the overall implementation plan provided by the supplier.
• Auditing existing data sources and working with business stakeholders to define business rules for the migration.
• Identifying data quality issues and implementing improvements to ensure successful completion.
• Supporting testing of migrated data, including unit testing and coordination with suppliers for ETL and related testing.
• Conducting user acceptance testing of each data load, coordinating with business leads, SMEs, and users.
• Utilizing knowledge of legacy databases and ETL processes used by the target system supplier.
• Ensuring accuracy in data extractions from the legacy system to avoid duplication or inaccurate data migration.
• Having a solution-focused attitude to address various data issues arising from the migration of data from multiple legacy systems to one target system.
• Demonstrating data protection acumen as sensitive data of vulnerable individuals will be handled.
• Working independently as a data migration consultant using ETL framework.
• Utilizing SQL, scripting, and data mining techniques for data design, development, and extraction from legacy systems.
• Handling a wide range of data sources for extraction into one or two target systems.

Key Requirements:

• Proven understanding of SQL.
• Knowledge of Synergy & Liquidlogic applications, especially related to data tables and data migration.
• Previous experience of migrating EHCP data into EHM.
• Experience in performing data matching.
• Data quality management experience.
