Senior Planning Officer

Our client, a Local Authority based in Leicestershire, are currently seeking a Senior Planning Officer to join their team on a 6-month initial contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of complex and challenging planning applications, contributing to the development of our client's projects within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling complex minor and major planning applications
• Delivering persuasive presentations to the planning committee
• Negotiating effectively with applicants, objectors, supporters, and Councillors
• Providing expert pre-application advice
• Utilizing the Uniform planning administration system

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in handling complex minor and major planning applications
• Proven track record of presenting planning applications to the planning committee
• Excellent negotiation skills when dealing with stakeholders
• Experience in formulating pre-application advice
• Familiarity with the use of the Uniform planning administration system

Experience with major and complex minor applications and a demonstrated understanding of planning regulations and processes would be highly advantageous.
