Important: Offshore & Hydraulics experience
Introduction:
An exciting opportunity to manage and coordinate projects from customer liaison through system design to manufacture, installation and commissioning of complete systems, for use primarily in offshore drilling rigs.
Job Specification:
Main Activities:
These will include:
- Hydraulic control system design
- Review of other hydraulic control system designs
- Liaison with clients, sales, and workshop
- Procuring materials for, and building a range of drilling and control instrumentation systems and products
- Installing systems in Client’s installations
- Commissioning systems as installed
- Responding to technical enquires from the Client companies
- On-site fault finding and repair of controls systems (Hydraulics)
- Travelling as required on an occasional basis, rather than regular rota, to external locations both onshore and offshore (predominantly but not exclusively North Sea)
Knowledge Required:
- Previous project co-ordination or management experience
- Background in Hydraulics – relevant qualification or qualified by experience
- Choke/BOP/Subsea & Hydraulic Control System experience a distinct advantage
- Hands on approach
- Offshore work experience and current certification
Have the ability to move a role supervising Hydraulics Technicians and Engineers
