Introduction:

This international design consultancy are looking for Acoustic Consultants and have opportunities in their London, Bristol, Worcester & Leeds based team.

Job Specification:

This is due to a continued increase in their portfolio of acoustics projects in the transportation, industrial and property sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic multi disciplinary team, contribute towards and coordinate a wide range of acoustics projects. Typical projects include transportation related assessments, impact assessments for planning applications, detailed noise modelling of road traffic and industrial sources and noise assessments for EIAs. The principal functions of this position will be to undertake a wide range of environmental noise assessments, deliver complex acoustic projects from start to finish, develop business opportunities and write proposals for both UK and International Clients. The priorities of this role include managing (technically and financially) complex acoustic projects, direct contact with clients on a day to day basis and development of relationships with existing internal and external clients. You will also be providing active support to promote business development activities, supporting the ongoing technical growth and development of the acoustics team and supervision and review of work of less experienced members of acoustics team. The successful applicant will have a BSc/MSc in an appropriate environmental discipline from a UK university and preferably be a corporate member of the Institute of Acoustics. The ideal candidate should possess demonstrable experience of working within the acoustics field particularly in relation to transportation projects and have excellent knowledge of key acoustics legislation at EU and UK level. You will have working experience of current noise modelling packages and GIS and have proven experience gained within a consultancy environment. Excellent communication skills and a valid UK driving licence are essential.
