Introduction:

An excellent position exists for a Test Facility Manager for one of our clients based in Hampshire. You will be required to design and implement a new test facility as part of additional investement into the site.

Job Specification:

Your role will be to:
To take full accountability for design, location, installation and maintenance of all new test facilities.
To manage the test engineering design team.

Key responsibilities
Manage new rigs into production
Develop a long term test rig strategy
Develop a long term facilities strategy
Set up appropriate maintenance processes for the rigs
Champion cost saving opportunities in product testing
Day to day problem solving in test
Manage Test Engineering dept
Supervise and organise Test Engineers work on a day to day basis and solve problems arising
Liaise with Designers, Project Manufacturing Engineers to ensure the engineering intent and manufacturability is captured in the rig detail design
Approve subordinate staff holidays, sickness and overtime
Undertake subordinate staff APEX reviews
Ensure staff training requirements are both identified and met
Produce estimates for work packages

Experience required:
Proven ability & demonstration of the skills necessary for supervising a team, the ability to work well within a team and on your own initiative.
Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
At least 5 years experience in a relevant professional engineering environment ideally gained in the Aerospace Industry.

Qualification required:
Qualified to degree/HNC standard.
