Introduction:

We are currently looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join an expanding team at our clients Nottingham Office.

Job Specification:

The Engineer will be required to work on a variety of projects, in high performance team environments, providing geotechnical advice and solutions to a range of clients in the Residential, Commercial, Health and Education sectors of the market. Working with fellow engineers from a range of backgrounds and disciplines, you will be involved throughout the project, from the initial conceptual meetings, tendering process, to desk studies, site investigation, geotechnical design, report production and construction.
We anticipate that the successful candidate will possess a first degree in civil engineering and MSc or equivalent in soil mechanics or geotechnical engineering and have recognisable postgraduate experience in at least one (or more) of the following sectors: geotechnical analysis and design, civil engineering design, site investigations and site/construction works. Candidates will ideally be aware and have some knowledge in contaminated land and be on, or willing to join an approved training scheme to achieve chartered status.
Knowledge and experience of the use of geotechnical software including numerical modelling techniques would be desirable, as would a sound mathematical background.
