Important: Relevant Nuclear experience
Introduction:
Our key client in the West Midlands is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with nuclear experience.
Job Specification:
Nuclear industry/NDA experience preferable (or similar industry).
Experienced in the identification and collation of variations/claims.
Experienced in the identification and collation of Extension of time submissions.
Capable of controlling/understanding a variety of work packages on one project with a mix of reimbursement terms (Reimbursable, Target Cost Incentivised Fee and Fixed Price).
Experience with Contractual terms (Bespoke contract based on NEC3).
Experienced in the use of MS office packages to produce professional documents.
Knowledge of P3e planning tool would be a benefit.
Role
To prepare sound variations and EOT submissions in a timely manner.
To liaise with clients to discuss submissions and seek to resolve to a satisfactory conclusion.
To act on company’s behalf to resolve disputes.
To provide forecast information and identify potential cost/schedule over runs.
To advise on legal and contractual matters.
To support and educate the project team to ensure relevant claim information is recorded as a matter of process.
To support and contribute to the assessment of alternative delivery proposals/strategy to identify best cost/schedule outcome.
To support the tendering process to ensure potential issues are mitigated early.
To monitor actual costs to ensure that costs are in line with forecasts.
To provide input into weekly progress reports to clients
To help develop the weekly reporting process to take account of various issues.
Close liaison/interface with project management and tendering teams.
Responsible to the Senior Project Manager and Business Area Manager.
