Introduction:

A leading engineering company are looking for a Regional Sales Engineer to manage business development in Scotland, with 2 days a week in Aberdeen.

Job Specification:

KEY TASKS
To sell the full range of Parts and Service products (spares, service and repairs) to both new and existing customers.

Main area of responsibility:
To generate sales through existing and new customers in pursuit of the company’s objectives for the Scottish Region.
Sales Engineer will be based in Scotland with two days a week in the Aberdeen area with a focus on Oil and Gas customers.
Key tasks for position holder:

1. To assist the Regional Manager in the preparation and implementation of the Tactical Plan (Accelerator) for the company’s products, systems and services in the Region.
2. To prepare and agree with the Regional Manager operating budgets for the Sales region.
3. To monitor progress against objectives and budgets and make such changes as may be required and agreed with the Regional Manager through the year.
4. To operate in the communications platform established in ACE and maintain databases for customers, projects, contracts and competition.
5. To identify sales potential in the region, determine the most effective way in which to obtain business and take action accordingly.
6. To follow-up enquires received directly in the Camberley office and sales leads generated
7. To follow-up quotations generated in the Camberley office.
8. To provide technical support for and on behalf of the Camberley office as required.
9. To assist in the training and development of Sales Channels as necessary.
10. To monitor and fight competition for the company’s products, systems and services.
11. To ensure that company policies and procedures are observed in all matters related to personnel, quality and safety. The relevant policy documents are :

Quotations/Order acceptance : To £20,000



EXPERIENCE
Candidates must have a good background in a similar field sales role, which will include general engineering experience. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate previous experience of account management.
