An opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to take up a contract position with a leading well flow management company in North East Scotland.
Job Specification:
Our client is a leading well flow management company based in North East Scotland.
They are currently looking for an experienced mechanical engineer with oil and gas flow equipment experience to join their busy team on a long term contract.
This position operates within group engineering and requires a technical understanding of engineering standards, practices and procedures. It requires excellent time management, accurate time writing and work prioritisation to demonstrate effective usage of time. The main activity is working on engineering projects to fulfil the requirements of group engineering customers and to produce all required documentation such that equipment can be manufactured, assembled, tested and operated safely, efficiently and with minimal non conformances and corrective actions.
The role will entail:
* Producing / checking / approving engineering documentation as required and checking PDM entry as required.
* Supervising and mentoring engineers and draughters working alongside.
* Performing all tasks in accordance with the client's quality procedures and being fully familiar with group standards.
* Actively being involved in engineering meetings, reviewing as required.
The successful candidate will have the following:
* Degree qualified in a relevant subject with oil and gas experience.
* Significant experience of engineering and / or operations in the oil and gas industry.
* Working knowledge of mechanical engineering systems, standards and practices.
