Introduction:
An excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor to work for a major contractor on a large maintenance contract
Job Specification:
Key Responsibilities:
Provide advice on design, maintenance, repair and refurbishment.
Produce reports on existing buildings detailing current status of building in line with Aspire Contractual requirements.
Provide and review handover documents of refurbished and new build works.
Inspection and reporting of refurbishment and new build works.
Production of “snag” list during and on completion of works and ensuring such works are completed.
Advising on the health and safety aspects of the building.
Advising on energy efficiency, environmental impact and sustainable construction.
Providing technical advice on design life options and replacement regimes.
Undertaking through life modelling of asset performances.
Adherence to Company health, safety and environmental policy.
Recording of all works completed.
Qualifications:
Recognised and relevant qualifications.
Extensive experience of working in a building surveyor environment.
RICS Technician level or qualified by experience
SC Security Clearance or be able to achieve this.
Skills
Be organised and tidy.
PFI Experience
An ability to manipulate large databases and spreadsheets
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Good interpersonal skills both internally and with customers.
Have the ability to work to targets and deadlines.
Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure.
Ability to work with COSHH and with risk assessments
Good communication skills.
Financial and commercial awareness.
