An excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor to join a dynamic and progressing Mechanical and Electrical Contractor

Job Specification:

Founded in 1985 this medium sized multi-disciplinary contractor has a requirement for a Building Surveyor. The constant growth and diversifying nature of our client has resulted in this vacancy. Our client has progressed through from an Electrical contractor, now covering Mechanical and Electrical services, and a growing building division. Our client has a broad range of clients, covering a multitude of sectors in the construction industry. These include working on major airports in the UK, this will be one of the major areas the position of Building Surveyor will be working in. The Building Surveyor will be in the first instance working primarily on suspended ceilings, and the surveying of these. As a result of this candidates applying to this position must be competent in B"8290 part 3, code of practice for installation and suspended ceilings.

This role will suit a fresh graduate, who has completed a relevant Building Surveying degree, and has an interest in getting into the Facilities Maintenance side of the construction industry.

Your responsibilities will include (this is not an exhaustive list); Preparing drawings and specifications, liase and coordinate with the client and in-house engineering teams. Contract administration, site surveys and helping out on the Project Management side.
My client is willing to offer training, to progress candidates in any areas unfamiliar with or only have limited experience in.
