Introduction:
Our Client is the biggest division within the Group and is a top 5 consultancy business, specialising in property and infrastructure services to both the public and private sector.
Job Specification:
Operating all over the UK, with services including project and cost management, transport planning, environmental consultancy, design, engineering and construction management. They have a new opportunity for a Senior Engineer to support and assist in the development of the structural section within a team of over 20 infrastructure engineers based within the East Grinstead office. The successful candidate will hold a Structural or Civil Engineering related Degree, BEng level minimum, or equivalent, eg: HNC together with at least 5 years relevant post graduate experience. Ideally, the right individual will be a Chartered Engineer or pursuing Chartership (ICE). You will be computer literate and familiar with analysis and design using various software packages is an essential requirement for this role. Experience of working with Developer Clients is advantageous. Knowledge of project procurement and implementation procedures is desirable. A Clean UK driving license is preferred. The successful candidate will be a good team player within a multi-disciplinary environment, but able to work on own initiative and under pressure when necessary. You will be a good communicator at all levels, both verbally and in writing and be accurate and pay close attention to detail with a willingness to learn and develop. The post-holder will be proficient in discussing technical issues in non-technical language and experienced in dealing with clients. You will be financially aware and have the ability to recognise new business opportunities.
