Introduction:

Due to our clients continued success, they have exciting opportunity for a Senior Technician to join a team of friendly professionals in the Highways section.

Job Specification:

You will undertake and support the preparation of various aspects of highway design on large Highways Improvement schemes. Working alongside our Engineers, you will be responsible for detailed design and the preparation of contract drawings and documents, produced independently or by other team members. Positions will provide the opportunity for career development and to gain excellent experience within a dynamic and challenging environment. They are looking for Incorporated Engineers or HND/HNC qualified candidates with appropriate experience, alternatively you may have OND/ONC with significant experience in highways design. You must be able to use MX and/or Windes/Microdrainage and AutoCAD. You will have been employed in a design office and worked on medium to large scale highway projects, preferably at tender and detailed design stage. The successful candidate will have experience in several aspects of design which may include, but not be limited to: highway alignment and junctions, safety barrier, drainage, pavement, traffic signs, lighting design etc. You will also be familiar in the application of the Highway Agency’s DMRB and MCDHW documents. You will also have a proven ability to supervise other technicians and communicate with colleagues at all levels and other parties. A flexible attitude and a keen interest in working in a multi-disciplinary environment with frequently changing deadlines are essential.
