Introduction:
Would you like to join our Client’s highway design team, working on development projects generally covered by Section 38 and 278 Agreements?
Job Specification:
Due to the continued expansion of the Southampton Highways Section, our client is seeking a talented Principal Engineer who will lead the project team and liaise with Local Authorities, where required by Clients. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your proven experience in project management, supervising and leading teams as well as your ability to communicate with colleagues and staff at all levels. They are looking for a Chartered Engineer with wide ranging appropriate experience or Incorporated Engineers, who are familiar with planning requirements and the application of Local Authority guidelines and Highway Agency’s DMRB and MCDHW documents to development projects. You will also be able to use MX/PDS and/or Windes/Microdrainage, experience in the use of AutoCAD is preferable but not essential. This position will suit individuals that are able to work independently and as part of a large team in an environment with frequently changing deadlines. Flexibility and an interest in multidisciplinary working are required.
