Introduction:
Operations Manager - IT Services - Portsmouth, Hampshire - £30 - 35k + benefits. We're looking for an Operations Manager to join an expanding IT Solutions Provider in their Portsmouth based offices.
Job Specification:
You'll report directly in to the MD and will be responsible for the smooth and effective delivery of IT Services to clients across Hampshire and the surrounding areas. You will manage the engineering team and will act as the point of escalation for any customer queries or problems and will work closely with clients to identify new requirements and match them to the technical solutions that they offer. The technologies revolve primarily around the Microsoft product set so experience of Windows 2003, Vista, Windows 2000, MS Exchange, MS Office is key and further experience in Cisco, Citrix, Firewalls, Anti-virus software, Back-up, Storage, Networking and Infrastructure technologies are needed.
The ideal person will come from a Solution Provider background and will have led the Engineering / Support teams in an Operational Management capacity. You will ideally hold an MCP / MCSE level qualification and have an HNC / HND in an IT related discipline. You'll have extensive knowledge of operating systems, hardware, software and mobile technologies. The company are based in Portsmouth and cover the Hampshire area so a full driving licence is required. The salary on offer is circa £30 - 35k + benefits.
