Introduction:

Manager and Principal Safety Consultant required for one of the UK's leading technical Safety and Environmental Consultancy.

Job Specification:

Due to an increased workload in safety engineering and management our client is looking for a Principal Consultant to manage and support assignments in the UK and overseas. The successful candidate will work on a variety of challenging and high profile assignments in the defence, maritime, energy and aerospace sectors.

Our client develops and delivers innovative, proportionate and cost effective approaches to organisations wishing to assess and assure the functional and operational safety of their complex systems and processes through design or procedural risk management.

Candidates should have a sound academic background supporting their experience in a senior safety and / or engineering role that is focused on engineering design safety. The candidate will have experience in applying risk assessment methods and techniques in order to achieve a balance that maximises the performance of a system or process whilst ensuring its ongoing compliance with regulation.

Successful candidates will have a high level of motivation and a drive to achieve success, with a track record of achievement in a technical / engineering / design / consultancy environment and a have the following attributes:

- Able to work alone or as part of a team
- Able to communicate at all levels in an organisation.
