Introduction:
Our client have a well established group providing Flow Assurance support to projects at the Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design stages. The group have won contracts to support several large projects with a workload stretching well into 2010.
Job Specification:
As a result we are looking for a Flow Assurance engineer to supplement the existing team. The individual will work directly for the Flow Assurance Group leader and will be expected to interface directly with the client subsurface and operations groups, to manage large work scopes, and to supervise junior engineers.
Experience:
* Engineering experience in pipelines and flow assurance
* Competent and confident user of steady state pipeline models (Pipesim and/or GAPS) and of the OLGA transient modelling tool.
* An understanding of the risks and remedial measures to deal with wax, hydrates and pipeline slugging are essential while experience gained in the FEED stage of a subsea tie-back or large greenfield project would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of reservoir models such as MBAL would also be an advantage.
* Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
