Introduction:
My client is the central testing facility for the countries largest food company, they have a new requirement for a microbiology laboratory technician.
Job Specification:
JOB PURPOSE
• Aseptic Preparation of samples for Microbiological analysis
• Initial dilution of samples
• Pipetting of diluted samples
• Entering sample information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Preparation and sterilization of sampling and other associated equipment
• Preparation of media as required
• Carry out Aw and pH measurement of samples as required
• Packing and dispatch of test kits
• Assistance in plate drying activities as required
• General laboratory housekeeping
• Daily equipment checks and calibrations
• Assist with maintaining quality standards (UKAS: ISO 17025)
