Introduction:
A leading defence sector electronics manufacturer are seeking to add an export compliance co-ordinator to there International trade compliance function. This is a permanent role opportunity paying £18000 - £25000 (dependent on experience level).
Job Specification:
This is a co-ordination and administrative role for a candidate with prior experience of import / export and logistics regulation compliance monitoring and document control (Ideally within a defence sector environment with exposure to ITAR regulations).
This leading defence electronics business ships its products internationally to its defence sector client base. All products being exported from the UK must follow International Trade compliance regulations and checks but as this company works supply products defence sector clients it must also follow more intensive export and import regulations (International Traffic of Arms – ITAR) regulations and this role is key to ensure all process and compliance is followed and achieved.

Candidates will need some existing knowledge and experience of import / export and international logistics documentation administration and will have the following duties:
• Create Dispatch paperwork following request from internal Customer and ensure all required information and relevant checks are in place prior to shipping.
• Undertake Compliance Screening for Customers, Suppliers and Consultants Distributors & Representatives (CDR’s).
• In conjunction with ECO apply for F680 clearance and liaise with Government Departments to ensure these are received within agreed timescales.
• Deal with general enquiries from both internal & external customers and Government Agencies.
• Draft End User Undertakings for both Suppliers and Customers in conjunction with both the ECO and International Trade Compliance Manager.
• Assist the Export Control Officer (ECO) to collate and respond to all Inward and Outward Processing Relief (IPR/OPR) to ensure compliance.
• Apply for and manage the use of ATA CARNETS as necessary.
• Facilitate Ratings from BERR and keep lists of products updated with latest information.
• Keep an up-to-date list of Export tasks and priorities. Ensure all tasks are completed within agreed deadlines.
• Complete compliance checks to ensure that all company travellers are fully compliant with UK and overseas legislation.
• Upkeep of all information within the ASSIST4 database.
• General departmental administration as required.
• Upkeep of all information on Export Compliance records.
• Assist with internal awareness programmes and upkeep records as necessary.
• Prepare and assist with government agency audits.
