Introduction:
A major engineering contractor in the oil and gas industry has a vacancy for a Proposals Co-ordinator. This role comes with an excellent salary package and potential for career development.
Job Specification:
The main responsibilities of the role will include:
• Prepares draft artwork for covers and title pages. Reviews with Proposal Department Manager, BD Manager and Proposal Manager, then submits for production.
• Assists Proposals Manager, Business Development or other staff in preparation of proposals.
• Maintains liaison with all personnel assigned to proposal activity.
• Administers typing of new text and modifications to existing documents.
• Edits text to ensure grammatical correctness and compliance with proposal themes.
• Gathers and disseminates all data and information relevant to the preparation of the proposal.
• Arranges for necessary support including conference rooms, meeting rooms, work area, supplies.
• Attends all meetings, time permitting and keeps a current status report of all activities.
• Continuously reviews the proposal document during all stages of production to ensure that it is responsive to the inquiry.
• Verifies shipping requirements, i.e., courier availability, shipping time required, client address, etc. Ensures all address information is correct and available well before scheduled ship date.
• Assists in updating information for use in future proposals.
The candidate:
- The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role
- Experience with proposals/ bids/ tenders/ technical authoring/ business development
- Engineering background, preferably oil and gas
- Excellent communication skills
- Technical degree preferred
