Senior Planning Engineer

Introduction

Our client is currently searching for a Senior Planning Engineer to provide effective project planning, monitoring and progress reporting, by implementing and maintaining project schedules and network plans across site facilities and commercial contracts.

Experience of Primavera P5 or P6 / Eligibility to Obtain MOD Security Clearance

The Job

Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be required to:

• Develop and update as necessary individual facility networks to meet Nuclear Engineering requirements in conjunction with the Plant Managers / Design & Safety Managers & Regulator Programmes;

• Apply Earned Value and schedule performance reporting to the facilities programmes and validate vendor inputs to periodic progress reports;

• Facilitate meetings with Heads of Department and Design & Safety Teams to actively collect progress information and updates of Primavera P6 work schedules;

• Interface with all levels of management within the Directorate, Major Projects, Organisations and Specified Projects allocated by the Planning Manager.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Ideally an HNC in an Engineering Subject...other qualifications will be considered;

• Eligible for MOD Security Clearance;

• Detailed Knowledge of Primavera P5 or P6;

• Advanced User of Full Microsoft Office Suite; &

• Experience of managing / developing less experienced members of staff.
