Introduction

Our client is a major Inspection/Integrity Management Contractor in the North Sea and internationally, dedicated to improving Asset Reliability they are recruiting for permanent Senior/ Corrosion Engineers based in Aberdeen.

The successful candidates will possess significant industry experience, a relevant degree in engineering or offshore engineering or equivalent Oil and gas experience. These roles will provide technical support for all corrosion and metallurgical related issues.
Candidates should possess the following qualifications/experience:
• Degree/Post Graduate qualification in a relevant technical or science discipline
• Chartered/Incorporated status desirable
• Extensive experience in a Corrosion/Materials environment and relevant experience within the offshore oil and gas production industry
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and its offshore influences
• Ability to use initiative and direct and guide other team members
• Strong interpersonal/client facing skills
• Report writing experience with strong attention to details.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and ability to use bespoke databases
• Ability to travel offshore if/when required
Duties include:
• Responsible for assisting in the preparation and communication of the quarterly and annual corrosion review reports.
• Maintenance of the Installation Corrosion Monitoring and Mitigation policies.
• Ensure that material failure investigation and root cause analysis are carried out where considered necessary and that any implication with respect to integrity is reported accordingly.
• Revision of all Inspection strategies with respect to corrosion related issues.
• Maintaining the integrity of Hydrocarbon pressure envelope and associated structures.
