The Job

Systems Engineer

Successful candidates will have experience in some of the following:

• Experience of control strategies development in Matlab and/or Simulink
• Autocoding experience
• Proven experience in the Automotive Domain
• Calibration experience, ideally on Diesel Engine Management
• Fuel Injection Equipment and Emissions / Aftertreatment
• Drive re-use and commonality where possible
• Awareness and integration of Industry trends
• Capturing and analysing customer requirements, designing control algorithms (using Simulink), designing system diagnostics and CAN communication specifications
• Ability to independently, plan and develop a product or engineering component

Desirable additional characteristics:

• Experience in the automotive field
• Awareness of the SPICE assessment model
• Experience of a production intent auto-coding environment
• Previous experience in a customer facing technical position
• Developing validation tests for dSpace HiL
• Calibrating sensor interfaces and diagnostic strategies
• Calibrating servo controls and regulators
• Supporting customer’s engine and vehicle testing
• Supporting system and hardware FMEA
• Embedded Controls Engineers
