The Job

Summary of Role:
Working within an existing major project in the Nuclear Industry and reporting to a Programme Manager, Capula is seeking additional Control Systems Engineers experienced in PLC systems. Responsible for the on-going design and implementation of a major scheme for a new facility being built in the North West, the successful candidates will be qualified as described below and ideally will have recent relevant experience. Although the project is based at our headquarters in Stone, Staffordshire an amount of travel to customer sites and working away from home is expected, currently predominantly in the Cheshire area.

Role Description:
• Working as part of an existing team to develop the design of a range of PLC control systems within an ISO 9000 compliant project lifecycle
• The production of detailed design documentation, coding, testing, deployment of the systems on site and commissioning/site acceptance testing

Essential Requirements:
• Educated to at least degree level, or HND with additional experience
• Background in designing and implementing large (multiple networked) PLC/Scada based control systems
• Experience/expert user of Unity programming software
• Ability to travel and work away at customer sites
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable Requirements:
• Experience of the Schneider range of hardware
• SC Security Clearance in place
• Experience of the nuclear industry/project lifecycle or similar robust development environment
• Knowledge of mainstream Scada products, e.g. Citect

Personal Qualities:
• Articulate and have good communication skills
• Strong leadership skills including team management
• Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
