The Job

The Role of the Critical Services Technician:

Assist shift engineers and co-ordinate safe and efficient operation for all plant and equipment within the Warwick complex. Be responsible for specific processes associated with any change activity.
Assist engineers and provide co-ordination to ensure operational activities are not compromised.
Act as an Authorised Person (subject to client approval) for: High Voltage, Low Voltage, Hot Work, Pressurised Systems, Confined Spaces, and Roofs & Elevations.
Act as a member of the emergency team and be available for call out and standby.
Be responsible for third party contractors, monitoring of Planned Maintenance and carrying out monthly performance reviews of key contractors.
Be willing to qualify as a site Category a engineer (subject to completion of specific training modules)
All work to be in compliance with statutory, client and Johnson Controls health and safety requirements.
Cost control focused.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

Must have 17th Edition
ONC/HNC Electrical or Board of Trade Certificate of Competency, 2nd class
Experience in a related field
Able to demonstrate good analytical and decision making skills
Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
Flexible approach to team working
IT proficient
Good communicator
