Quality Engineer

Introduction

Our Client designs and supplies skid packaged equipment within the oil & gas industry related to Produced Water and Sand Management equipment. They require a QA / QC Engineer with experience of mechanical equipment.

The Job

This role will involve conducting all aspects of Quality Assurance & Inspection activities of supplier equipment and will involve extensive travel. You will be responsible for ensuring supplied equipment is in conformance with contractual quality & technical requirements, prior to Company acceptance. Candidates should have experience in the manufacture & fabrication of mechanical equipment in the oil & gas industry. Candidates must have experience of Material requirements, particularly Duplex & Super Duplex within the oil & gas industry. You will review Contract Specifications and establish QA/QC requirements. You will review Project Quality Plans and add Inspection requirements in line with the Client's standards and specific project requirements. You will review sub-vendor ITP’s and add Inspection requirements in line with Client standards and specific project requirements. You will attend vendor Pre-Inspection meetings, prepare Quality related documents, review Quality related documents from client and vendors such as WPS/PQR, NDE Procedures, Testing Procedures, Material Certificates. You will ensure code compliance and compliance with Client requirements. You will assist the Project Manager with Quality related issues which may arise during the project including NCR’s. You will perform vendor audits as required and complete site visits including witness testing etc. Candidates must be prepared to travel extensively throughout the UK & Europe.
