The Job

The ideal candidate will source and secure an offshore SAP provider within Europe. They will manage this site as well as offshore facilities in Asia. The ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing background with experience of SAP modules such as MM, SD etc

Scope:
• Identify, organise and implement a relationship with a SAP “offshore” service provider to supplement the existing SAP support members both on a functional and technical level.
• The main application used within the company is SAP, but the Application Support Manager will need to be involved with supporting a range of systems and interfaces such as in-house .NET developed applications, Planview, Microsoft Reporting and Biztalk.
• To act as the IT escalation point to all areas of the business for specified IT applications for support issues ensuring that systems meet the business requirements.
• Be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of business and IT staff to gather requirements and promote a positive image for Application Services Team.
• To manage the day-to-day relationship with 3rd party suppliers ensuring that they meet SLA’s and targets.
• To develop a plan for all members of the Application Support team to ensure resources are utilised effectively and identify potential resourcing issues.
• Plan and implement the IT out of hours on call support rota.
• To ensure that detailed documentation is produced and maintained for all IT systems and interfaces.
Skills and competencies:
• Proven SAP functional support knowledge
• Prior experience of working with SAP “offshore” suppliers
• 3 years plus experience in a similar role
• Able to work within tight deadlines
• Business knowledge in a manufacturing environment desirable
• Good written and spoken English
• Ability to communicate and motivate staff across global locations
• Able to travel across global locations as required
