The Job

This role will suit a Project Director who has delivered major track remodelling projects either in the UK or indeed overseas. The ideal candidate will have proven experience of delivering these projects on a major basis.

The role is working with London Underground on the ATC programme, whereby alongside the signalling upgrades there is major track remodelling work to be done. Details of the role are as follows:

End State Track Layout

Background

The End State Track Layout (ESTL) project is a £160m package of complex track remodelling works at circa 36 sites across the SSR to enable the full performance of the ATC to be realised. This is the largest track remodelling programme that London Underground has ever undertaken.

It was originally considered that the ESTL works should be co-ordinated by the SUP ATC Programme but delivered by the Permanent Way programme within CPD. The SUP ATC Programme currently includes a dedicated project team of project management staff, engineers etc. for this work.

This model has not proven effective over the last 12 months and therefore the ATC PDM and SUP Programme Director have sought agreement for the SUP ATC Programme to take on full responsibility for the design, integration and delivery of the ESTL works. Delivery will be “sub-contracted” to the Permanent Way and Track Partnership programmes within CPD.

To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
