Introduction
This work on the offshore windfarm will be a minimum 3 months duration but most likely to carry on longer and will work on a 2 week on 2 weeks off rotation.
Important
Extensive knowledge/experience with HV jointing
The Job
You must carry your own insurance covering the work you are contracted to perform
You are employed out of the Construction Office and will have to cover your own cost for travel back and forth in the start and end of your rotation
The client will cover costs to travel and lodging if we ask you to work other places, but you will have to pay this cost first yourself and then claim it as expenses with your timesheet
The day rate is £600 per day
You will be supplied with PPE
The Termination rep. has to supply mobile phone and computer for reporting
You are personally responsible for insuring that your own training and certification are up to the minimum project requirements, and they are:
o Offshore Sea Survival, STCW 95 or Equivalent (Not older than 4 years)
o Working From Height, 2 day course including rescue (Not older than 2 years)
o First Aid, 3 day First Aid At Work (Not older than 3 years)
o Offshore Medical (Not older than 2 years)
o Fire fighting training (Not older than 3 years)
All Certificates and training must be to a UK approved standard
Requirement to Past Work Experience & General Knowledge
Extensive Knowledge/Experience with HV Jointing
Extensive Knowledge/Experience of cable composition (What is inside a cable?)
Extensive Knowledge/Experience of how to handle a cable, the right way and the ways not to do it because it will damage the product
Basic knowledge about Fiber jointing
Basic understanding of weather and sea state
Basic understanding of HSE
Basic understanding of the use of lifting equipment and the use of it
Basic computer knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft Office package of programs and handling of photos
Roles and Responsibilities as a Cable Termination Client Rep.
Cable Termination Client Representative (Array & Export Cable)
Reporting to: Cable Termination Manager
Role: Oversee Termination/installation of Array and Export Cables
Responsibilities:
Handling/coordinate interface between client & follow-on contactors
Record and supervise cable terminations punch list, snagging lists, NCR?s, etc.
Coordinate interface between marine coordinator and vessel
Taking part in the daily site meetings.
Progress monitoring and reporting of the cable installation & termination punch list & snagging works
Recording down times including weather
Overseeing & monitoring QA/QC of all ongoing cable installation & termination work
Oversee HSE awareness on activities carried out by the cable installation & termination contractor such as, but not limited to:
- Loler regulations 98
- Access / egress
- Working from height
- Vessel transfers
- Lift plans etc
Compliance with Construction HSE Plan
