Matchtech are currently recruiting for experienced Process Engineers to work in the Netherlands. The candidate must be fluent in Dutch.

The Job

The facility in Botlek, Netherlands is a multi-plant facility consisting of three air separation plants, a hydrogen liquefier, multiple boilers/turbines, and a CO / H2 plant.

H2, CO, syngas, and steam are supplied to customers via a pipeline network that is integrated with other facilities.

Reporting to the European Plant Process Engineering (PPE) Manager, the position will provide primary support to the hydrogen and CO plants, with shared support for the utility systems.

Responsibilities include

-Plant Technical Support.
-Plant safety
-Start up and commissioning
-Troubleshooting and responding to plant queries
-Responding to customer requests to meet increased or decreased demand. Determining scope of plant modifications to meet the change and supporting the Project Development group in putting together proposals.
-Asset management through the review and improvement of plant operating costs
-Detailed plant performance monitoring and regular performance reconciliation against targets
-Plant productivity, including development of new operating strategies, design of new equipment, and determination of costs and benefits
-Proliferation of cross site solutions, within both the European and the broader global organizations, to improve site performance
-Proliferation of Best Practices.
-Plant Reliability
-Carrying out Root Cause Analysis into plant failures and failures to supply. Feed back into product line to prevent reoccurrence.
-Review of systemic plant failures and proliferation of cross site solutions to improve reliability
-Engineering and installation of plant changes and operating procedural changes identified as a result of FMEA’s, reliability studies or Root Cause Analysis
-Plant modifications
-Review and approval of plant modifications using the Global Operations Management of Change process.

Qualifications & Experience

The job holder is expected to be a Graduate Chemical Engineer with experience in a process technology or plant operations related area.
