Introduction

A national provider of IT services to the education sector are looking for a Senior software consultant with experience of CAPITA SIMS (School Information Management System) and SIMS FMS at a technical level to join their team in Milton Keynes.

The Job

In this role you will need to demonstrate the ability to deliver specialist training and support for school managers and administration staff in the use of CAPITA SIMS administration software for maintaining schools’ Management Information Systems (MIS), particularly SIMS FMS (SIMS) financial management system)

They are looking for a team player to deal with customers and third party suppliers who has experience in line management, ensuring the continued development of the Software Support Team members as well as setting and monitoring performance.

You will be assisting with the quality assurance and testing of new releases, including the development and production of system) documentation as well as the production of training materials. You will have prior experience working in the education sector, practical teaching or training experience and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

To be considered for this role you need to have the following skills:
- CAPITA SIMS (School Information Management System)
- Experience within the Financial components of the software
- Technical support of CAPITA SIMS (School Information Management System)
- Experience of line management of a small team
- Ideally experience in Training to end users

The successful Senior Schools IT Software Support / Trainer can expect a salary of 30 - 35K
