Introduction
We are currently seeking Assistant Electrical Engineers to assist with various engineering design projects in both the water and wastewater sector for a leading UK consultancy.

The Job
We are currently looking for an ambitious Assistant Electrical Engineer preferably with a background in the Water & Wastewater industry.
The successful applicant will have a good level of engineering experience, some of which will preferably be within the Water / Wastewater Sector.
REQUIREMENTS
- Educated to Degree level Electrical Engineering or relevant alternative
- Able to provide evidence of an ongoing programme of CPD and potentially already be some way to achieving charter ship.
- Computer literate and able to work effectively work with the basic Microsoft suite of programmes as a minimum
- A good level of engineering experience, some of which will preferably be within the Water / Wastewater Sector.
- Some design experience preferably within the Water Industry sector in both potable and wastewater
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of an Assistant Electrical Engineer within the MEP stream will require the individual to undertake the following duties:
- Feasibility, outline and detailed electrical and C&I design work
- Electrical switchgear panel/MCC specification and design
- Control and instrumentation systems functional specification and design
- Understanding, interpreting and responding to the needs of other engineering disciplines such and mechanical, process and civil.
- Production of electrical, control and instrumentation design documentation and drawings including:
SPECIFICATIONS
- Single line diagrams
- Load schedules
- Block Cable diagrams
- P&IDs
- Control philosophies
- Instrument schedules
- Control system & communications block diagrams
- Undertake site surveys of existing installations
- Liaison with clients both internal and external
