Introduction

We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Technology Manager in Processing to join a leading FMCG company based in the Cheshire area.

The Job

To be an equal partner in mainly Hair and Skin global innovations representing the manufacturing community ensuring Design for Manufacture is at the heart of the development process in delivering innovation. To be proactive in developing the Manufacturing Core Designs for the Category and their deployment into the business. To actively scan external market for relevant breakthrough technology and introduce this into Unilever. There will be a strong process engineering bias to the job. To champion and actively use the EPM process in the Category projects. To apply best practice “process and hygienic design/ engineering” in all projects.

Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications:

Degree educated or equivalent experience
Good Knowledge of Process and Technology / Equipment associated with an FMCG company.
Knowledge and experience in Quality in Innovation for Manufacturing including statistical analysis and process control, supplier assessment and capabilities, risk assessments for raw materials / packing materials / formulations and validation of in –house and co-making operations
Able to prepare machine specifications and machinery project management networks.
Good understanding of the materials conversion processes.
Project Management Leadership with strong Early Management expertise (EPM / EEM)
Must be able to work cross functionally and cross regions in project teams
Total Systems Analysis – demonstrated knowledge of Manufacturing / Raw and Materials/Distribution
Business Economics – appreciation of the impact of capital equipment ownership on the business.
Working knowledge of the extended SC
TPM – FI/EM/EEM/EPM knowledge
Design for Manufacturing knowledge and application
Working knowledge of HAZOP and HACCP
Understanding of data acquisition and MIS
Capital Planning
Team budget management
