An opportunity for an experienced Subsea Project Manager/Engineer to join a leading consultancy based in Aberdeen.

The Job

Experience:

Ideal candidate shall have significant experience and be competent in the use of pipeline and flexible pipe codes and will have experience of pipeline and flexible risers installation and subsea construction activities. Familiarity with both ROV diving operations would be preferable.

Proven experience in a similar project role.

Responsibilities:

The Engineering Lead’s responsibilities shall commence prior to the award of the project work to EPIC contractor and shall extend through detailed design, the construction activities and conclude with the close out of all “As Built” reporting.

• Responsible for all technical aspects related to both design and installation associated with the SURF.
• Responsible for ensuring that the EPIC contractor performs its engineering activities in accordance with project requirements
• Responsible for managing third party Technical Assurance activities including Marine Warranty and Independent Verification Authority provided by third parties.
• Responsible for organising peer reviews in order to ensure that the project benefits from experience and expertise outside the project.
• Responsible for ensuring that project interfaces are efficiently managed (in support of the project Interface Coordinator)
• Ensuring that the technical elements of the project comply with Company standards and international standards
• Coach and guide the EPIC contractor(s) towards achieving Company requirements
• Manage a team of project and discipline engineers in order to provide technical assurance that the work is being conducted in line with project requirements
• Communicating with and supporting other project team members.

o India (occasional)
o Korea (occasional)
• Potential to visit offshore worksites during construction phases as required
