Introduction

Our client is a leading tier 1 supplier of diesel engine and fuel injection equipment. Due to business growth an additional Software Quality Assurance Engineer is require.

The Job

To identify, drive and manage improvements in the Quality aspects of Electronics activities, including Systems, Software, Hardware and Project Management.

• Software Process Assurance Management
• Software Product Quality Management
• Process Assurance

Daily Responsibilities will include:

• Use of problem solving techniques to satisfy quality issues/concerns.
• Participation in design and project reviews.
• A working knowledge of ISO 16949 and ISO15504
• Facilitate problem solving sessions and leading process improvement initiatives
• Perform and report local site and project audits.
• Ensure that all customer identified quality issues undergo a formal problem analysis process (such as Five why).
• Ensure that all internally identified quality issues are considered for formal analysis by the management team.
• Lead and document all formal problem solving analyses
• Manage all quality driven actions to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Ensure measures of performance are defined for project and functional process performance.
• Collect, collate, analyse project and functional process measures of performance and present at the monthly management meeting.
• Member of the review team for formal project and technical reviews as required by Delphi processes
• Ensure the needs of the site Quality Organisation are met.

Essential Skills and Requirements:

• Degree qualified in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• Comfortable working within a Software engineering environment across a number of customer project teams, leading problem solving activities
• Automotive sector experience
• Process/Software Quality
• Software development lifecycle
• ISO16949
• APQP
• PDP
• PPAP
• Problem solving techniques, including 8D and 5Why
• CMM/CMMi
• SPICE (ISO15504)
