An opportunity has arisen for a Site Manager for EC&I projects to join a firm specialist in advanced automation. The firm work across a number of sectors, this role in particular within the water industry. The Company have an excellent reputation and are renowned for its innovation, technical excellence, and project delivery, quality and safety.

You will be working within an existing major project in the Water Industry and reporting to a Project Manager, Responsible for all site related aspects of delivering EC&I projects to cost, time and specification, the successful candidate will be spend a considerable amount of travel to customer sites and working away from home is expected, currently predominantly in the Thames Valley area.

In this post, your role will include:
* Managing the installation and customer acceptance of Control Systems projects (PLC/SCADA/Telemetry) in the Water Industry in accord with national safety standards and local site work practices
* People-management responsibility for leading and motivating a subset of the project team of software and hardware engineers (typically 1 to 10+) during the site design and commissioning phases of the project
* Control and management of installation sub-contractors (typically minor civil and/or mechanical works)
* Hold regular report and progress meetings with clients
* Liaise with the firm’s Heath and Safety Manager regarding all aspects of welfare on site
* Assist in securing future business by cultivating customer expectations through excellent delivery
* Ensuring through close liaison with the Project Manager that sufficient resources are planned for site work to enable delivery to cost, budget and quality

To be considered for this position, you will ideally:
* Have successfully completed Client Contractors National Safety Group Safety Passport Supervisor training
* Successfully completed Construction Industry Training Board Construction Skills Site Managers Safety Training Scheme course (5days) or equivalent
* Completed specific health and safety awareness training delivered by recognised training provider (IOSH, CITB, RoSPA, BSC etc), e.g. manual handling, first aid (preferred qualified to minimum of Appointed Person), lifting operations (banksman/slinger), working at height, CDM, confined spaces etc.
* Undertaken NEBOSH & CDM Training.
• Demonstrable experience of delivering E, C&I solutions on site with a track record of success – to time, spec, budget within a commercial environment
• Strong and practical safety ethos
• Able to drive PLC/SCADA from a diagnostic perspective and fault find on electrical circuits
• Must be prepared to travel and work away at customer sites
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ideally candidates will be educated at least to degree level in relevant subject or HND with additional experience.
• IOSH SMSTS certificate is also sought after.
