Senior Project Engineer

Introduction

Due to continued growth our client is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join it's team in Aberdeen City Centre on a long term contract.

The Job

Responsibilities:
Main point of contact for Client acting as “Project Responsible Person”
Project engineering tasks at company premises or at client premises through various term secondments, as applicable to ensure delivery of the project.
Initial identification and confirmation of overall project work-scope and resultant delivery of same
Project estimating and planning and implementation of suitable change control mechanism.
Identification of additional project requirements and the associated change control management, both in terms of deliverables and commercial impact.
Maintaining or bettering project schedule, and updating same.
Co-ordination of sub-contracts and vendor liaison.
Performance of general, multi-discipline project tasks both in office and at site.
Assisting with identifying resource levels and allocation requirements
Ensuring adherence to Clients’ requirements / specifications, as a minimum, whilst at the same time protecting / preserving the interests of the Company
Ensuring compliance with relevant QA Health & Safety and Environmental Policies

Requirements:
BSc In Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent or a HNC Certificate, Coupled with 5 Years hands on Experience in Design / Construction or Maintenance Engineering
5 years’ experience in a Project Engineering
Oil & Gas/Petrochem/Refinery experienced
Reasonable Understanding and Knowledge if Multi-Discipline Design Development, Detailed Design and Design Verification
Reasonable Knowledge of Familiarisation with Oil & Gas Industry Standards and Codes
Reasonable Exposure to Onshore / Offshore Oil & Gas Industry Construction Activities Through to Close-out
BOSIET, Offshore Medical, MIST preferred but not essential
