Job description

A leading technology & engineering company with clients spanning across National Security, Defence and Industry, are looking for an experienced Data Science Lead to join their delivery team.

As the lead you will be responsible for leading delivery teams in the development of technical solutions for National Security customers that have a focus on data services.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Technical leadership of teams with mixed technical abilities including data engineering, machine learning, cloud, DevOps, and software engineering
• Lead on engagements with customers
• Prepare and contribute to technical proposals and bids
• Work effectively with Delivery Management to escalate risks, plan deliveries, and resourcing skills
• Support customer account team by contributing to business development strategy

Why We Want You

• Designing and building scalable data platforms
• Analytical techniques for extracting insight from a variety of data sources
• Visualisation of complex data
• Machine learning
• At least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, C++)
• DevOps techniques for supporting repeatable deployment and testing
• Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Experience with Agile (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) leadership roles (e.g. Scrum Master, Product Owner)
