Job description

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of aircraft cabin interior components and systems that enhance passenger comfort, functionality, and aesthetics. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness. You will also generate detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation, and support the testing and validation of design concepts and prototypes.

As Senior Design Engineer your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the design and development of aircraft cabin interior components and systems
• Collaborating with teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness
• Conducting design reviews and provide technical guidance to engineers
• Analysing requirements and regulatory standards ensuring compliance in design
• Generating detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation
• Working closely with suppliers and vendors to select materials and components
• Supporting the testing and validation of design concepts and prototypes
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation

As Senior Design Engineer you'll have :

• CATIA V5 experience
• Aircraft interior design experience
• Strong knowledge of composite and metallic component design
• Worked within a DOA organisation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
