Job description

The key roles of this post will include:

• Develop and manage expenditure programmes to improve and maintain the Rights of Way Network and to ensure their delivery in accordance with the Council's policies and practices.
• Assist in promoting the recreational use of the countryside through events, publications, and by encouraging voluntary effort.
• Assist the team leader in the preparation of reports and support for legal submissions and rights of way committee.
• Ensure the rights of way network helps encourage the use of sustainable modes for commuting by providing suitable links and surfaces.

Essential Knowledge:

• Council processes and relevant policy understanding.
• Rights of Way legislation and practice.
• Understanding of legal details.
